Juventus to add two players in swap deal for Napoli striker
Juventus interested in Raspadori
Juventus’ lack of offensive depth is forcing the Bianconeri to consider different options for boosting their offensive potency, such as making Napoli an offer in exchange for Giacomo Raspadori that would send two of their players in the other direction.
Due to a knee injury that has prevented Arkadiudz Milik from playing a single minute this season, the club was left without a center-forward options in Dusan Vlahovic’s abscence.
Having previously signed Raspadori from Sassuolo during his time with the Partenopei, Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has always admired the Italian striker and saw him as the perfect fit to support the Bianconeri’s attack.
Napoli is willing to discuss a player trade in order to negotiate Raspadori’s departure to Juventus.
At first, Napoli was hesitant to discuss the 24-year-old’s exit, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they have since become more receptive to Juventus’ offers because they are aware that the Turin powerhouses may include players like Danilo and Nicolò Fagioli in the deal.
The pink daily claims that the Partenopei are still adamant about not allowing the player to be loaned out. However, Antonio Conte may be interested in both the young midfield player and the Brazilian defender, with the former being considered the more seasoned defensive option his team now needs.
Since Raspadori’s playing time under Conte has been severely restricted by Napoli’s lack of European football, reaching an agreement would not be simple, but it may ultimately satisfy all sides.
With David Neres viewed as the first alternative, the coach in Serie A refused to change his mind about starting Romelu Lukaku, Khvicha Kvartskhelia, and Matteo Politano up front. As a result, the former Sassuolo forward has only made two league appearances thus far, both in August.
