According to reports, three EPL clubs have stepped up their interest in Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo. The 24-year-old joined the Cherries from Bristol City in January 2023 and has established himself as a starter.
Semenyo scored 8 goals in 33 Premier League games last season to help Bournemouth avoid relegation. They placed 12th in the table, just one point behind the top 10.
The Ghanaian has started the new campaign brilliantly, with three goals and one assist in seven top-flight appearances. The most recent came in Bournemouth’s 3-1 win over Southampton at the end of last month.
Along with club-record signing Evanilson, Semenyo has somewhat been tasked with filling the void left behind by last season’s top scorer Dominic Solanke, who joined Tottenham Hotspur for £65m in the summer.
Semenyo signed a long-term deal in July that will keep him at the Vitality Stadium through the summer of 2029. That hasn’t stopped the speculation mill, though, as GiveMe Sport reports that the versatile attacker is becoming more and more of a target for Premier League teams.
According to the article, Liverpool, Spurs, and Newcastle United have all taken notice of Semenyo’s stellar start to the season and are reportedly scouting him in preparation for a possible 2025 transfer. When Semenyo was at Bristol City prior to moving to Bournemouth, clubs like Celtic, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, and Southampton were among his long-time admirers. However, he is currently drawing interest from other elite Premier League teams.
