Arsenal’s Opening bid for Dusan Vlahovic rejected

Juventus snubs Arsenals opening bid

According to reports, Arsenal is attempting to sign Dusan Vlahovic this January, but Juventus turned down their first loan offer. Since the Serbian international has not yet agreed to a new deal with the Serie A powerhouse, they are trying to sign Randal Kolo Muani of Paris Saint-Germain who may be leaving  the French capital soon.

According to a report from Football Transfers, Arsenal’s loan attempt to get Vlahovic has failed, and a permanent agreement may have a better chance of persuading Juventus.

Football Transfers indicates that RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko is still the Gunners’ first target up front, so it’s unclear if they would make another offer of that calibre for Vlahovic.

The transaction may not be finalised until the summer. Given that Gabriel Jesus is sidelined and Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard aren’t playing as well as they did the previous season, Arsenal is having a difficult time making this choice.

Although Sesko would be a better long-term match and Vlahovic might not be flawless, AFC cannot afford to be fussy just now. Even if Vlahovic isn’t perfect, he has already contributed 15 goals and assists this season, making him a better alternative than Havertz.

He would also provide the squad with cover for Jesus, who might be off for a while. Additionally, there is no assurance that Arsenal will be able to sign Sesko in the summer, when many elite European clubs are probably interested in him.

It will be interesting to watch how this story unfolds because Vlahovic may be more realistic given his circumstances at Juventus. Arsenal’s attempt to sign the 24-year-old on loan makes sense because it would probably work better for them, but it’s also obvious that Juventus wouldn’t benefit much from that.
