Bayern’s Musiala to miss rest of the season with hamstring

Jamal Musiala misses eight weeks

Following his equalising goal in Bayern’s 3-1 victory over Augsburg, Musiala was replaced in the 54th minute due to what appeared to be a hamstring problem. The diagnosis reveals a hamstring strain that will preclude him from participation for the following eight weeks, concluding his Bundesliga season.

Musiala aspires to return for the Champions League final, contingent upon Bayern’s progression, and the Nations League finals in June. Within a few weeks, Bayern has experienced its fourth significant injury to a crucial player.

Musiala will join Alphonso Davies (torn ligament), Dayot Upamecano (knee injury), and Hiroki Ito (foot injury) on the sidelines for the remainder of the season. Bayern appears to be struggling towards the conclusion of the Bundesliga, however their earlier efforts may suffice for securing the title.

Conversely, matches against Borussia Dortmund, Mainz, RB Leipzig, and Borussia Mönchengladbach appear challenging, particularly given Bayern’s difficulties last night against Augsburg, exacerbated by a beneficial refereeing decision to expel Cedric Zesiger off the pitch for the home team.
