Enzo Maresca talks about Liam Delap amid Chelsea’s interest
Chelsea’s coach talks about Delap in interview
Liam Delap of Ipswich has been labeled as a “fantastic player” by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca amid links to the attacker.
The former Manchester City academy graduate, who has made 15 Premier League appearances this season and scored six goals, is being linked to a number of clubs, including the Blues.
“Liam is a fantastic player,” Maresca declared prior to the Tractor Boys fixture. We spent a year together, which is also typical at his age. I believe he scored 22 or 24 goals throughout that season.
“Because of his age, I think he can be an important player for England.” This striker is excellent; as I’ve said numerous times, England is fortunate to have excellent players and strikers. He works hard off the ball, understands the game, and can score goals on the ball.
According to BBC Sport, Chelsea plans to let go of five players during the January transfer window, including Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Cesare Casadei.
After a summer of transition, Blues boss Enzo Maresca is reportedly eager to further reduce his team’s depth and make room for additions.
