Juventus Contacts Chelsea for Disasi

Juventus has made enquiries about Dasasi from Chelsea

The 26-year-old joined Chelsea for £38.8 million from Ligue 1 side Monaco in the summer of 2023, and under Mauricio Pochettino, he established himself as a consistent starter.

Last season, Disasi played in 44 games in all competitions, helping Chelsea finish in the top six and earn a spot back in the European football league. But after missing this season’s preseason, the Frenchman’s situation has changed under Enzo Maresca, as he has struggled to get consistent playing time.

Despite playing in each of the Blues’ six Conference League games this season, the defender only made his third Premier League start of the year against Everton last weekend.

Due to his lack of playing time, Disasi has been linked to a number of European clubs in recent weeks. Juventus is the most recent to express interest in his services, according to Calciomercato.
 Reports from Italy Today

According to the report, the Serie A powerhouse are eager to learn more about the central defender’s availability and needs in order to seal a deal in January.

After both Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal were sidelined for the next six months due to ACL injuries, Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has declared on multiple occasions that the Bianconeri intend to make mid-season purchases to bolster their defensive line.

Although Antonio Silva of Benfica and David Hancko of Feyenoord are still the club’s primary objectives, it is believed that Disasi is a more affordable option.

Chelsea’s Defensive issues

However, with Maresca dealing with other defensive concerns, such Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile’s ailments, a move to Juventus for the Frenchman is far from likely.

A move for Disasi will probably depend on the Blues’ capacity to add defensive reinforcements during the transfer season, given Chelsea’s fitness issues and the potential departure of players like Ben Chilwell and Badiashile in January.

The West Londoners are reportedly weighing their alternatives, and Tomas Araujo is reportedly one of the players at the top of their wish list. Last month, transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano stated that Benfica had no intention of selling, despite the Blues considering a move for Araujo during the summer transfer window.

Even if the Primeira Liga team is hesitant to trade the 22-year-old, Maresca might still try to sign him because it is thought that his contract has an £83 million release clause.

Chelsea will return to action on Boxing Day in a West London derby against Fulham. Chelsea is now four points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League rankings.
