Liverpool want to sign a premier league defender to replace Robertson
Liverpool get a target
Slot is reportedly a fan of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, who has been having an outstanding season for the Premier League team, according to the Daily Mail.
Richard Hughes, who is currently Anfield’s sporting director, signed him to Bournemouth. Slot was Feyenoord’s manager for the 2022–2023 season, while Kerkez played for AZ in the Netherlands. It’s possible that the Dutch manager noticed the defender while he was in the Netherlands.
The left-back will be a perfect fit for Liverpool and Slot’s style of play because he is combative and enjoys participating in attacks. It will be difficult for Liverpool or any other team to recruit him because he is now one of the most intriguing young players in the Premier League and his contract with Bournemouth expires in 2028.
Although the Premier League’s biggest teams have performed remarkably well this season, leading the league and the Champions League, they can still do better, as the match against Fulham demonstrated. It became evident when Andy Robertson was sent off at Anfield that the Merseyside clubs would have a difficult time winning the three points.
Despite their struggles, they were able to earn one point against a formidable Fulham team. Nonetheless, it demonstrated that the team needs a new left-back because of Robertson’s subpar play. Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich has been connected to them, although another name is being considered.
