INTERVIEW WITH LIVERPOOL.COM
“Of course I’m very excited,” he said in an exclusive response to Liverpoolfc.com. We currently have a fantastic team. We had a fantastic team before as well.
However, I signed because I believe we have a chance to enjoy football and win more titles. I had my greatest years here, so it’s amazing. I hope to play for ten years, having done so for eight. I’m having fun here and playing football. My career was at its peak during those years. I want to express to [the fans] how delighted I am to be here.
I think we can win many significant trophies together, which is why I signed up here. Continue to support us and we’ll do our best; maybe, we’ll win more in the future.
Since moving from AS Roma to Liverpool in the summer of 2017, Salah has solidified his status as a legend. With 243 goals in 394 games to date, his outstanding goal-scoring record has propelled him to third place in the Reds’ all-time top scorers list.
Salah has won seven major awards while at Anfield, including two League Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, and medals in the Premier League and Champions League.
He has also won two FWA Footballer of the Year honours, been named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year twice, and won the Premier League Golden Boot three times.
Now that he has once again committed his future to Liverpool, Salah will want to add to those collections.
