Graham Potter not Surprised by Caicedo’s turn around

Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter has admitted that he is “not surprised” by Moises Caicedo’s turnaround. Caicedo had an underwhelming performance in his first season at Stanford Bridge but he has been superb this campaign.

Last summer, Caicedo completed a £115 million move from Brighton, making him the most expensive player in Premier League history. The 22-year-old midfielder acknowledged that his price tag was a burden during his first season at Chelsea, but he is currently content at Stamford Bridge under new manager Enzo Maresca.

“With the new training staff, I am now more used to to the club, which is positive. “I’m playing good football and I have more confidence,” Caicedo acknowledged to Chelsea.com at the beginning of the month. “Both on and off the field, my teammates have been a huge help to me. I’m having a great time.

Caicedo has been in all of Maresca’s Premier League games this season, and one person who hasn’t been impressed by his transformation at Stamford Bridge is his former manager Graham Potter.

“It feels like Chelsea are starting to see the real Moises Caicedo, and I am not surprised their results have improved now.” The former Blues manager said in a BBC blog. He started with us at Brighton similary to that with Chelsea. Feeling as though he had to endure hardship and adversity before emerging victorious and demonstrating his genuine abilities to everyone.
